A Case of Adrenal Insufficiency Simulating the Adams-Stokes' Syndrome

چکیده

The following case seems worthy of record, not only as an example of a comparatively rare condition, but also on account of the extreme manifestations of hypotonia and bradycardia which for a time seriously threatened the patient's life, but which were followed by complete recovery within the space of a few weeks. Mr. R. H., aged 27, was admitted to the European General Hospital, Aden, on 3rd March, 1937, having been disembarked, together with his wife and young child, from a Dutch steamer homeward bound from Java to Rotterdam. The history given by the ship's surgeon was that for two months past the patient had complained of being easily fatigued, and of giddiness and headache, chiefly in the occipital region.
